5 days at ACARI

Experience 5 days of fishing with experienced guides and suitable boats. With more than XX lakes to explore, you can practice sport fishing and admire the beauty of the Amazonian nature.
In the Acari River region, the fishing season runs from July to November. In the months of October and November, it is possible to do mixed fishing for scales and leather.
In the drier months (from July to September), the Acari River is low, and fishing for pinima tucunarés, arowana and pirarucus prevails.

With the end of the rains, what was once a single large body of water gradually forms small lakes and lagoons, accessed by narrow channels. These are the best places to fish.

At this time of year, peacock bass gather in shoals and attack everything they see in front of them. It’s a true spectacle of nature! In addition to the star of this fishing, the lakes and streams in the Acari River region are home to other incredible species, such as Aruanãs, Bicudas, Apapás, Matrinxãs and even Piranhas. Each catch is a new thrill, guaranteeing unforgettable adventures for fishermen.

The fisherman is responsible for bringing the fishing equipment he prefers, but it is recommended that it be heavy, such as 55lb line, hooks, artificial bait and rods capable of withstanding the bite of large peacock bass.

Recommendations for your stay

Suggestions to make your stay UNFORGETTABLE

Fauna do Acari

Birds

The Great Blue Heron is one of the most exotic birds that can be found in our forests, measuring up to 2ft and normally having a beautiful black crown with white plumes.

It is a beautiful animal to observe and one of the wonders that nature offers us.

You may also spot swallows! Its beauty and delicacy are unparalleled. They are small, measuring around 5.1 inches, and hunt insects in the air, in mid-flight.

Alligator

Jacaré-açu, or black caiman, is alligator species that is only found in South America, and is most common in the Amazon.

It is a predator at the top of the food chain and the largest adults can eat any animal in the region, such as jaguars, boa constrictors and anacondas – however, they normally feed on small to medium-sized animals.

When you go fishing in the beautiful waters of Itapará, be careful with this animal – keep your distance and respect those in its natural habitat.

Jaguars

The largest feline and predator in the Americas, the Jaguar is one of the great wonders of the Amazon and Pantanal.

An animal of large size and immense beauty – it's part of the mythologies of many people, such as the Mayans, Aztecs and Guaraní.

Abroad, this animal is known as Jaguar. Here in Brazil, it's known as Onça-Pintada. Regardless of the name, its characteristics and fur are unmistakable.

Monkeys

When you go fishing, pause and look up at the treetops – someone might be looking back at you!

In our forest you can find several species of monkeys, especially the Spider Monkey. Hanging from branches with their prehensile tail, they rarely descend to the ground.

Eating fruits at the top of the trees, these little monkeys are beautiful animals to keep you “company” during your sport fishing, and make the atmosphere even more pleasant.

TOURISM
in Manaus

Manaus, the isolated Amazonian capital, is the gateway to the world's largest rainforest.

Visitors to Manaus fall in love with its lush nature! Tourism in the city has been growing steadily, and its infrastructure has been developing in recent years due to the ever-increasing flow of visitors.
Among the various types of tourism, the most notable are academic (to study Brazilian fauna and flora), relaxation, adventure, and ecological (which aims to contemplate and preserve nature). Whatever your preference, the city will certainly win you over.
Oh, and we can’t forget to mention the cuisine, can we? Amazonian cuisine is the one that has best preserved its indigenous origins and has had little external influence. Rich in fish, seafood, fruits, and flour, it is considered the most exotic in the country. It’s worth trying!
